Richard has a longstanding interest in supporting contemporary art, music and dance. Currently working in professional services, he has previously been an occupational psychologist, and a policy official at HM Treasury.  

Between 2002 and 2012 he was trustee and latterly chairman of the national charity Pilotlight, from which he brings his knowledge of charity governance and organisational structures.  

In 2010 he established a Foundation to commission composers, promote performances and release recordings; and in 2012 he founded the commissioning circle for the Manchester International Festival.



Naomi Russell is a creative and strategic consultant who works with cultural leaders and institutions across Europe looking to realise ambitious future plans.

Naomi was CEO of Wonderbird between 2007-2016, a strategic consultancy she founded and led, which worked with cultural institutions across Europe. She has worked as consultant with leading dance organisations including Nederlands Dans Theater, Rambert, Sadler’s Wells, Laban, Royal Ballet of Flanders and Wayne McGregor Company and in house at a senior level for the Royal Opera House, Donmar Warehouse, Almeida and Young Vic Theatres.

Naomi teaches cultural organisation and entrepreneurship at the Erasmus Academie, Rotterdam School of Management and on the Masters and Bachelor courses for the culture and economics department, Erasmus Universiteit Rotterdam. She is British and has been resident in Amsterdam since 2012.



Helen has over twelve years of experience working within the dance sector. She started her career at Woking Dance Festival before joining The Place as Programming Associate where she worked with many emerging choreographers, including Hofesh Shechter, producing his early works Uprising (2006) and In your rooms (2007). Together with Shechter, Helen founded Hofesh Shechter Company in 2008, and under her leadership the company grew to become a major national and international presence establishing significant partnerships with high profile venues in the UK and in major world cities.

Most recently Helen joined Tessa Ross and Juliette Howell’s HOUSE Productions as Chief Operating Officer, working with Ross and Howell to establish the company as a new home for talent across television drama and feature films.

Alongside NMC she also currently sits on the boards of London International Festival of Theatre (LIFT) and Aerowaves European dance network.

In March 2017 Helen was appointed Chief Executive / Executive Producer at Rambert.
